I had a friend who was murdered in the 90′s Connie Choate or bodensteiner. I do not see her here. Does anyone know how to find out about her case? She was my best friend as a child and teenager.
Thank you for contacting us, Penni. I did some searching tonight and tracked down a Connie Jo Choate, born Dec. 15, 1970, who died Aug. 8, 1995, but other than her being buried in Greene County at the Paton Cemetery, the only other mention of her I found was her mother’s obituary.
According to the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation’s website on unsolved murders, there are currently no open cases in Greene County.
If you’re fairly certain her case is unsolved, could you provide us with a little more information about where in Iowa she was killed and how her death came about? Thanks in advance!

I was looking through the cold cases in Iowa tonight and I found your friend on here: Connie Choate Bodensteiner, age 24, August 8th 1995, Des Moines Iowa….I did see her picture and read the article. So hopefully if you go through it again you will find her…
Anyone remember the Brad Johnson, Jennifer Johnson double homicide in Forest City, Ia in early 1980 s? always wondered what happened ? The conviction of one accused of it was overturned on appeal,, I think.
In Elementary School at Walnut Grove in Council Bluffs back in the early to mid 90′s one of our classmates was murdered by her mother outside of their apartment. She had been stabbed multiple times. I remember this now that it was so long ago and wished I knew what happened, the case is solved I believe since the mother killed her but I cannot remember her name.
