Davenport in Scott CountyKeyOntrae Miles died at his Davenport, Iowa, home the day he turned two months old. He was the son of Melanie Miles, 318 Western Ave., Davenport, and Kenyatta Warren, Detroit.
KeyOntrae was born November 22, 1993, in Muskegon Heights, Michigan.
Services were held Wednesday, Jan. 26 at Derrick’s Temple Church of God in Christ in Rock Island, Illinois, with burial in the Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport.
In addition to his parents, survivors included a sister, Keshara Miles, at home; grandparents, Christine Miles and Princene Warren, both of Muskegon, Mich.; and Ramona Wilkerson and J. Miles Sr., both of Davenport.

Melanie M. Miles passed away on April 3, 2025, with her visitation and burial in Muskegon, MI. There is no mention of KeyOntrae in her obituary, but other names and places match from his 1994 obituary. That is simply an observation on how I matched the two obituaries. This is the first time I have heard about KeyOntrae or his death being a homicide. How very sad.
Infant deaths always seem to be either due to SIDS or a parent. If the family doesn’t push for resolution, no one does it seems.
I wish I knew, Katy. We've been able to find little information except that his death was treated as a homicide.
