George Raymond Keller, a 61-year-old World War II veteran, was found dead in his rural Clarke County home on Tuesday, September 29, 1981. Keller had been living alone in his garage since a house fire destroyed his home a few years earlier. He died from more than one gunshot wound to the head.
Christopher George “Chris” Axiotis
Q Pond Park

Christopher “Chris” Axiotis, 16, was found dead in Q Pond Park in Osceola on Tuesday, November 16, 1999. Friends and family members believe he was injected with cocaine at a home where he’d been staying, and then dumped in the park to freeze to death after he apparently overdosed.
Cecil Travis Gaddy
January 31, 2004
Cecil Travis Gaddy, a wheelchair-bound 19-year-old, was killed in a fire at his Osceola home on January 31, 2004. Gaddy’s body was found inside the home, though his wheelchair was discovered outside the home.

William LeRoy Douglas Sr. of rural Woodburn, Iowa, was reported missing to the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office in Osceola on February 11, 2004, after family members realized he had not been seen since Wednesday, February 4.
