On November 27, 1997, a decomposed body was found at the Washta Access south of Washta, Iowa. The victim was identified as Dung Kim Truong, who had been reported missing on September 22, 1997. He was last seen leaving the Ameristar Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa, around 6:30 p.m. with an unknown Asian male.
Although the 1950 slashing death of Neva Andrews of Cherokee was never positively determined a homicide, there seems ample reason to infer E.M. Lyman was involved.
