Construction crew foreman V.C. Anderman of Hazelton, Iowa, found a box 350 feet east of the Raven Creek bridge along Highway 30 in Tama on June 11, 1952, and after untying the cord around the box and dumping it out, was horrified to find a newborn baby boy wrapped in newspapers.
