Steven Fisher and his girlfriend, Melisa Gregory, were found beaten to death at the Copper Dollar Ranch northwest of Newton, Iowa, in Jasper County on March 3, 1983. Theresa “Terri” Supino, 53, was arrested March 3, 2014 at her Altoona apartment and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in their deaths. Supino was married to Fisher at the time of the murders, though the couple was separated and Fisher had been dating Melisa Gregory. On Feb. 20, 2015, a Black Hawk County jury acquitted Supino in the deaths.
