Des Moines in Polk County
Riccardo Rickey Bowers, 44, was reported missing to the Des Moines Police Department in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 15, 2001.
He was last seen wearing a white YMCA shirt and jeans and jumping into the Des Moines River near Locust Street.
At the time of his disappearance, Bowers was described as a 6-foot Black male with brown hair, brown eyes, and weighing 175 pounds.
Officials have classified his case status as “Endangered / Physical,” which refers to a person of any age who is missing under circumstances indicating his/her physical safety is in danger.
