Jeremy Spencer, 27, was shot to death Wednesday, January 28, 2004, while sitting inside a vehicle in the parking lot of Tommy’s Hickman Pub in Des Moines.
Police had been called to the pub after reports of gunshots in the bar’s parking lot. Another individual, Wayne Camp Sr., 45, also had been shot but survived.
Nine days after Spencer’s murder, KCCI Channel 8 in Des Moines reported that Des Moines police had issued a material witness warrant for 42-year-old Kevin Jenkins, who was wanted for questioning in the case.
Neither the warrant nor a $1,000 Crime Stoppers reward for information led to any charges in Spencer’s homicide, which remains unsolved.
