Christopher Stewart was last seen after 10:30 p.m. on August 17, 2003, outside his apartment in the vicinity of the 600 block of 18th Street in Des Moines, Iowa. He has never been heard from again.
He has been described as a 5-foot-9 white male weighing about 185 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. His classification is listed as being physically endangered.

Stewart suffers from bipolar disorder. He was supposed to be taking medication to control the condition, but had stopped taking his medicine some weeks before his disappearance.
Stewart was reported missing on August 19, two days after his disappearance.
Stewart’s ears are pierced and he wears eyeglasses with small, dark brown frames. He wore a “Timex” watch with a leather band.
His nicknames are Chris and Christo. Stewart’s head was shaved at the time of his disappearance.
A DNA sample has been submitted and tests are complete.
