Frank Searway, 43, disappeared from his rural Millersburg, Iowa, home on or around Monday, May 8, 1911. On July 9, neighbors found Searway buried in his stable with three bullet holes in his head and his skull crushed in. The sheriff and coroner believed Searway was most likely killed after a robbery.

On Sunday, October 24, 1971, Karen Theresa Streed, 21, was found dead in the old Amana millrace canal located between West Amana and South Amana, Iowa, in Iowa County. She had been missing one week and had been shot four times in the head.

Rose Burkert, 22, and Roger Atkison, 32, both of St. Joseph, Missouri, were brutally slain in a motel room at the Amana Holiday Inn in Williamsburg, Iowa in Iowa County on Friday, Sept. 12, 1980. A motel housekeeper discovered the bodies about 1 p.m. on Saturday when the occupants missed the noon checkout deadline.

He was reported missing to the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office in Marengo on June 6, 2012. He has a tattoo on his upper right arm and a tattoo on his head. Mr. Babka has a scar near his right eye and a scar on his right forearm.
