Crystal Sue Hunt was last seen leaving her parents’ home in Centerville, IA, with her boyfriend, and reported missing to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office in Corydon on Feb. 24, 1998. Crystal’s boyfriend says they argued and she got out of the car. She has not been seen nor heard from since. Crystal was seven months pregnant at the time of her disappearance.

On April 28, 2008 at approximately 9:50 p.m., Chuck Deatsch was shot and killed at his residence in rural Mystic, Iowa. Authorities said the bullet that hit and killed Deatsch came from a single shot outside his home that came in through the home’s front window.

Sebastian “Ty” Husted, 18, of Centerville, Iowa was last seen Jan. 22, 2018, just across the Iowa border in Mercer County, Missouri, where he worked as a power washer in a hog barn. He had carpooled to work with a co-worker, and later called a sibling, asking for a ride home because the co-worker was acting strange. The driver arrived back in Centerville without Husted. Husted’s remains were found 1 mile from the Missouri hog barn on April 23, 2024, and identified two days later as Husted.
