On Tuesday, November 21, 1995, Martha “Marty” Erickson, 47, was killed while on her way to a dance. Her body was found the following day in Avon Lake. Erickson died of a single stab wound, and bruises on her face indicated she also was beaten. It was determined she probably died between 24 and 48 hours before her body was found.
