Thank you for putting information regarding the murder of Ramona Jean Cox on your web-site. She was the aunt of my sister-in-law. I did have all the articles regarding her murder that was published in the newspapers. I have since passed them on to her family. I was wondering if DNA testing could be performed on any remaining evidence. If you need anymore information please let me know and I will get the info for you. God bless you for the work you do.

Jody, Thank you for your concern! This person has been and is still recovering and painfully processing memories about this in intensive psychotherapy. Her older sister has validated the truth of some of the events.
Reporting these things will be an important part of her therapy,to bring closure and healing.
However, she strongly believes that law enforcement probably participated in or turned a blind eye to, not just the church but 13 years in which mom prostituted her out. Seems it would be hard to miss in their rural little area outside the City.
All said and done, she is the most amazing person I have ever met.

I’m sorry, the name of the individual in my post above was/is Robert Mil___.

Is anyone aware of a cult-like ‘church’ group meeting in the house of a man with the (partial)of John Mil__ or Frank Mil___ in 1964 in Cedar Rapids? The group probably met for a number of years before 1964 and at least 2-3 years after 1964. The person describing this, who is very credible, was forced to attend this “Bad Church” by her mother when she was a child. She described a baby sacrifice and mutilation that was performed, sexual abuse by the leader of services (“Sir God”) and other men there, and other horrific scenes. I would like to verify her story and communicate with anyone who knows about this. Thank you very much!

Anon, thanks so much for your comment.

I’m not aware of this group or the man (Robert Mil___) you referenced, but am definitely interested in hearing more about the person who attended this Cedar Rapids church as a child. Has she already gone to the police with this information? If so, what type of response did she receive? Thanks in advance.

I am wondering if you can get information about the murder of Angela Renee Buck (Waterloo) in August 1995. She was found shot to death, laying in the fetal position on the bank of a river. She was the mother of one of my best friends.

Dear pjs: I’ve done several searches on the three names you provided, but the few articles referencing any murder (on Tina) came back as “article no longer available.” Could you possibly give me a nearby city or Iowa county so I can check with those local law enforcement officials? It would be even better to have the name of the town or city where the murders took place. Thank you, and I’ll do my best to get information once I have more details.

To pjs: I’ve been reviewing some of the older comments on the blog, and since my first response to you regarding Tina Lade, Justin Hook and Sarah Link, I honestly don’t recall if I followed up with you regarding the details of these three murders. The page for their information is listed here, and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation now has a brief summary of case info on their new Cold Case Unit site. The cases are definitely on their radar.
