Marc J. Allen, 13, told his mother he planned to walk to a friend's house down the street from their Des Moines home on March 29, 1986, but never arrived at the neighbor's home. He was last seen wearing a light blue t-shirt, blue jean shorts, white socks and gray tennis shoes with velcro tabs.

Allen has a small scar on the top of his head. His first name may be spelled "Mark," and he may be called "Marc James Allen" by some agencies.
Allen's disappearance came four years after Johnny Gosch vanished from the same vicinity under similar circumstances, and two years after Eugene Wade Martin disappeared. It has not been proven that these three cases are related in any way.
