Stephon Harry was reported missing to the Des Moines Police Department in Des Moines, Iowa, on September 9, 2011, and police have asked for assistance in locating him.

Harry was last seen at about 2 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, at Manning’s Bar in Des Moines. He was dressed in a dark green polo with white stripes and tan pants or jeans. Police described him as a black male, 5’10″, 195 pounds, bald, with brown eyes and glasses.

Video from the night of Harry’s disappearance was erased, as the camera held images for only 48 hours; Harry was reported missing after 72 hours.

He drives a Nissan Xterra with personalized Iowa license plates reading “STEF.”

Police said his family is concerned and that the disappearance is out of character for him.

In a WHO Newsradio article dated Sept. 16, 2011, longtime family friend Heidi Selin Williams said Harry had worked at Union Pacific for 15 years and would not just up and leave his mother and wife. Williams also said police had received tips from people claiming to have seen Harry’s vehicle on Des Moines’ east side.

Harry’s friends created a Facebook page to gather information and organize searches, and encourage everyone to follow the page to learn about upcoming searches and where they might be gathering.
