Dennis Ryan
Dennis attended college and studied business in Mesa, Arizona, and his background includes working as an operations manager and general manager for automotive aftermarket jobber stores in Chandler and Tempe, Ariz.
After leaving the automotive aftermarket industry he worked for a regional investment banking firm. In Iowa, he served as regional director for a nonprofit political organization where he hired, trained, and managed field teams in the state’s western district.
Dennis ran for the Iowa Senate in 2000 and has worked as a consultant on numerous political campaigns.
He raised his two daughters, Elizabeth (Liz) and Victoria (Vicky) in Mesa and Chandler. After a short but brave fight with cancer, Liz passed away in 2002 at age 24. Vicky graduated from Temple University Medical School in 2009 and currently practices at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, New Jersey.
Dennis lives in western Iowa with longtime partner Jody in their 100-year-old home they also share with dogs Bear, Hagan, and Jack, Clyde the parrot, and Jody’s youngest son, Rhett.
